Mo/Me Scar Eater Solo
Ok so I came up with this build that seems to work pretty well at killing Scar Eater. Its a basic 55hp build with a few tweaks.
Skills:- Balthazars Spirit
- Blessed Aura
- Mending
- Healing Breeze
- Protective Spirit
- Ancestors Visage
- Sympathetic Visage
- Illusionary Weaponry [E]
Attributes:- Illusion Magic - 12
- Healing Prayers - 12(9+3)
- Protection Prayers - 9(5+3+1)
- Divine Favor - 11(8+3)
Equipment:- Full Ascetics Armor with Sup. Runes
- Defenders Scalp Design (use this while fighting)
- Servants & Prophets Scalp Design (use when casting initial enchantments)
- Totem Axe (+5 energy & +20% enchants boosts effectiveness)
- -50hp focus (bring health down to 55)
- -20hp focus (for 13hp variant)
Procedure: Ok for those of you who dont know Scar Eater is located just outside of Vasburg Armory (Eternal Grove Exit).
The group to my right should be completely ignored as they will walk away after a short while. When they do, go right up to the wall in front and aggro Scar Eater's group so that they come down to you. (referring to the picture above)
Now just maintain Prot Spirit/Breeze/Visage/IW. With visage up he'll have no energy to heal so just hack away until he's dead. Ignore the others as they trigger Balths Spirit & Visage.
Note: To make the run go faster I use the 13hp build (die once then use the -20hp focus). This means that you can swap out Healing Breeze and just have the +4 from Mending. (i take Clumsiness instead of Breeze). Just make sure u dont get diseased from Tainted Flesh (ie. dont attack without IW on)
Im not sure how effective this build is against the other bosses, i think ive killed Time Eater once, but you can try it out yourself .. Enjoy.

What do you do if Oni have spawned while your attacking scar eater?

Then you got to restart, i suppose.
But I prefer the Mo/E, even if you got to restart if a Gaki has Spawned...

there was a n/me build posted here a while back (with video) that used spiteful, reckless, and several e-denial spells that worked wonders. Gakis and Onis not a problem. You pull them back to the shrine then hug a corner and usually nothing can hit you.
Not at all bashing this build: its just that I like using my necro to farm as many bosses as possible

Thats why i aggro from down behind the wall because most of the time the Oni spawn up near Scar Eater, so i lead him away. However if the Oni do spawn you can lead them back to the shrine where you can get the NPC's to kill them.

I do also prefer the Mo/E, cuz Scar Eater recieves huge dmg in a short time, and he´s the only one whos targeted by Silver Armor, when a lot of foes are standing around ya. But Gakis are also no problem you must aggro them, if they are far away form Scar Eater, they put their ghosts there, and they can´t reach ya. Well, however Mo/Me is quite nice but Mo/E is more comfortable.

Sounds like a good build. Personaly though i would rather run the Mo/E build using Silver Armor. I would need to try out your build before i criticize it but i would just have to say that the Mo/E build is alittle more comfortable since you wont have to worry about Tainted as much. I could be wrong though. Either way good job thinking outside the box a bit.
